Heart walk

Today I got to participate in a walk for the American Heart Association. We called ourselves Team Hadleigh and had a great time doing it. We walked four miles around riverfront Omaha. It was a bit chilly but for a great cause. Our niece was born with basically half a heart. Her mother found out when she was about 6 months pregnant and was told they would be surprised if she lived to be born full term. She celebrated her first birthday in February and is a beautiful toddler. She needs two more open heart surgeries and will soon have the next stage. Like my husband said, if she could be fixed right now, we would've ran the whole 4 miles.
Getting ready for the trip to Washington D.C. . We have to be at the airport by four in the morning a week from Thursday. Not looking forward to that but everything else sounds groovy!
The kids are out for the summer next week. Yeah, that should be fun.

Chilly? WHAT?????? It's 110 degrees here. How could it be chilly there???!!!!!

I am so jealous about the D.C. trip. I may be going a year from now, so be sure to leave some grafitti that I can find. Hey, it can happen. It's happened to me before!
