A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America' for an amount of 'up to and including My life.' That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.'
My husband forwarded this to me. I know all of you are aware of my feelings for the military. I thought this was an apprapo way to explain it once again. I have great respect for anyone that will put their lives on the line to defend my freedoms.
